Introducing Kyoya Dye Works' first short-sleeve shirt, designed to keep you comfortable through the summer heat. The fabric is made from Nanako-weave, also known as basket weave, a type of plain weave with a distinctive, loosely woven texture that resembles a basket’s grid. The threads are woven in bundles, creating small gaps in the weave, which enhances breathability, making it the perfect fabric for hot summer days.
The neckline can be adjusted with a button at the chest, allowing for easy opening or closing to suit various everyday occasions. With its simple design, this pullover shirt is versatile enough to wear anywhere.
A silhouette that adapts to the wearer
By carefully crafting the sleeve attachment, the fabric stays smooth at the sides, creating a beautiful silhouette that molds to the wearer’s body. The size is designed to be slightly larger than standard women's sizes to accommodate both men and women, but thanks to this tailoring method, it offers a comfortable fit and flattering look without any discomfort.
Simple "Black" and "Natural" colors
Available in two colors: black and natural. The black is dyed using immersion dyeing, while the natural color retains the original texture of the fabric.
About our natural fabric
At Kyoya Dye Works, we primarily use "natural" fabric as the base for our clothing. The natural texture of the unbleached fabric connects nature with human life, making it the perfect material for creating tools that complement our everyday living. Additionally, the process of finishing the fabric involves minimal use of chemicals and human intervention, which reduces the environmental impact—a principle we deeply value.
However, due to the minimal processing, tiny fibers and fragments from the raw plant material may remain in the fabric. This can sometimes cause slight color variations or fading in dyed products. We inspect each piece carefully and remove those with noticeable defects. That said, minor color inconsistencies or fading due to the natural characteristics of the fabric are considered part of its unique texture, and these items will be shipped as such.
