New Craftsmanship Using Materials from Iwayado Tansu: "Cutting Board"

This cutting board is crafted by artisans using natural oak wood, typically used in Iwayado Tansu. Each board is made from a single piece of wood, so the grain, texture, and color vary, making each one unique. Enjoy the warmth of the wood that is reflected in every individual piece.

Includes a Traditional Japanese Dyed "Cloth"

Accompanying the cutting board is a hand-dyed "fukin" (cloth), crafted by artisans at Kyoya Dye Works using traditional Japanese patterns. The soft towel-like fabric becomes more comfortable to use the more it’s handled, making it an essential item for the kitchen. The traditional patterns on the cloth will be delivered randomly.

Usage Notes:

  • Before use, lightly dampen the cloth. After use, avoid soaking it; instead, wash it, wipe off the excess water with a dry cloth, and allow it to dry by hanging it.
  • Since the cutting board is made from a single piece of wood, the grain and color will vary.
  • Avoid excessive drying, as this may cause cracking in the board.
  • While we carefully select sections free of knots and damage, natural wood may still have unique imperfections. Please understand this as part of the wood’s natural character.
  • The design of the cloth cannot be chosen.
